Happy Squirrel Appreciation Day! Today, I thought I’d share one of my favorite squirrel-themed videos – I remember this one from childhood and it always makes me smile. It’s my favorite way to celebrate the holiday. (That makes it sound like I have a favorite list of squirrel videos. I do not, but perhaps I should curate one.)
A few other ways to celebrate:
- Watch this adorable kitten playing with a squirrel.
- Learn how to appreciate squirrels every day.
- Check out some of last year’s squirrel-loving links.
- Get your news from a squirrel reporter.
- Befriend a squirrel (and maybe Clint Eastwood too).
- Buy some tickets to the squirrel ballet.
- Take some fashion pointers from a squirrel supermodel.
However, you choose to commemorate the day, watch out for the Jedi squirrels. Those guys are tough.
They are really cute up in the trees, but a friend had one accidentally invade her house while she was gone. It looked like a wrecking crew had come in.
I guess every church should have a squirrel to help raise money and volunteers!! BOL!
There were several interesting squirrels on Indiana's walk this morning.
That is awesome! I have always loved that song but had no idea there was a video! Haha! Happy Squirrel Appriciation Day!
Dexter & Jersey would like to thank all the lovely squirrels for providing them with entertainment π
Oh Dog! Jen remembers when that song first came out! Guess that means she is OLD! woo woo woo!
I love squirrels! They seem so playful, always chasing each other around. I don't even mind if they eat all the seed in my birdfeeder.
Have a nice day!!
Woof, woof,
Chicco
SQUIIIIIIIIIIIIIRRRRELLLL!!! GetItGetItGetIT.

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!
Ha ha ha ha! I always loved that song when I was a kid, too! Actually, most anything by him is pretty darned funny!
Yeah, we had one chew through some wires when I lived in an on-campus apartment in college. They can be cute, but really destructive, unfortunately.
A worthy addition to the congregation! LOL
Perhaps they were out celebrating their day. π
The video always cracks me up… so perfect!
That's nice of Dexter & Jersey to recognize the contribution of the squirrels. Hehe.
No way! π
I do enjoy watching them through the windows.
You too! π
Your comment cracked me up! π
I agree – my parents always used to listen to him. I had a good trip down memory lane when looking for this video!
desmond does NOT appreciate squirrels. or, rather, desmond does not appreciate the fact that he is not allowed to chase squirrels. his take on this day would surely be, "harrumph!"
Hehe… I have a mental picture of Desmond doing just that. π
