If you are a long-time reader, you may know that I love caroldies. (For the uninitiated, that’s a parody of a Christmas carol.) So, I can’t let a season pass without sharing a few new ones with you. Today?
I Saw Three Cats
I saw three cats come walking in,
On Christmas day, on Christmas day.
I saw three cats come walking in,
On Christmas day in the morning.
And what was in their mouths, dear me,
On Christmas day, on Christmas day?
And what was in their mouths, dear me,
On Christmas day in the morning?
A portion of my Christmas tree,
On Christmas day, on Christmas day.
I feared the worst was soon to be,
On Christmas day in the morning.
The living room was a sight to see,
On Christmas day, on Christmas day.
They’d opened the presents and knocked down the tree,
On Christmas day in the morning.
Seriously though – it’s better to have your cat knock down the tree in the following video than a real one. Consider making it cat-proof.

Hilarious! My cat loves our tree but is too much of a wuss to try to knock it over. He just curls up underneath and imagines there are birds inside he can catch.
Love the caroldie as well. You are the master!

When I was a kid, my aunt’s cat climbed her tree and pulled the whole thing down!
On a dog note, so far Tavish has mostly ignored the tree. For this, I am thankful.
LOl I love these Caroldies! I do that too…with everything I sing….but I add Broos name in instead. He gets so excited!!
For example. “Run run rudolph, Broo Broos gotta make it town” haha

I do that all the time too!
That video is amAzing! What kind of patience must one have to pull something like that together. 😮
And I do love your caroldies. 🙂

Our cats climb our Christmas tree constantly. It was so bad last year, we took it down after a day!
Wowzy Wow Wow!! Cat + Christmas tree = Bad news. 🙂
Love, love, love your Caroldy!!

The fact that they could build the tree with no critter interference is amazing (I wonder if the were banned to another room…my guys would sure be trying to “help” with every step and probably not let me get past the star. haha

Came over from Something This Way Wagging Comes – and so glad I did. The caroldie is terrific and that video! I went to table top trees a long time ago. Enjoyed how the cat just sauntered around – “oh, well…” :).
The puppies I just adopted out both have been under the tree….and did nothing. I’m shocked and pleased but mostly shocked. HA.

I can relate! This is our first Christmas with Tavish… surprisingly, he has yet to mark the tree!
