Today, I want to tell you about Tail Spin, a weekly dog lotto to help benefit pets in need. Tail Spin is a project from the Dog Saving Network, a positive-reinforcement-based training organization committed to raising awareness and finding solutions to the problems faced daily by unwanted dogs in the U.S. The Dog Saving Network has partnered with BumperPet, a designer and manufacturer of products for pet lovers, to launch Tail Spin. Here’s how it works:
Pretty simple, huh? Every week, you can go to the Tail Spin website and pick three numbers (no purchase or donation required). Check back on Fridays to watch one of the adorable trained rescue pups spin the wheel and see if you have the lucky numbers that week. If so, you win a prize!
If you want to help support the Dog Saving Network, you’ll have the chance to make a donation when you pick your numbers. If you can’t donate, you can still help by sharing the Tail Spin link and spreading the word. Stop by the site to play every week and check out the Tail Spin Facebook page for more info.
Why did BumperPet decide to get involved with this project? Niki Crowe, CEO of BumperPet, explains:
“Since the beginning, we’ve worked closely with nonprofits pledged a portion of every sale to animal rescues like The Dog Saving Network. Tail Spin is just another way we can help raise awareness about a cause we strongly believe in. Plus, it’s totally adorable.”

If I won I’d probably pick the bone shirt. I love the color of it, and while Rita is (as far as we know) beagle & GSD, she doesn’t look enough like either one alone to go with one of those shirts.
