Okay, so I have a confession to make. Be kind…
I like Valentine’s Day. I know that it’s trendy to hate it or something, but I just can’t. So, today’s links are all about the love. Will you join me on the love train?
- First up, your punny pet names: Roar-a Ephron and John Mews.
- I love a punny Valentine. Will you brie mine? (With the punsters working overtime, it’s no wonder I’m a fan of all things Valentine.)
- As I mentioned, some people hate this holiday, but I’ve always thought of it as extending far beyond romantic love. It’s a day to celebrate many kinds of love, including familial love and the love of your best friends. (There’s some sort of torrential downpour on my face right now. I need a momentâ¦)
- That’s right, friends. I’ll be there for you.
- Need a last-minute gift for your canine Valentine? Never fear – Kol’s Notes is here with some insanely adorable printable treat tags.
- You really otter treat yo’ self to some epic cuteness this Valentine’s Day.
- Forget the sonnets. If you really want to wow your Valentine, Shakespeare’s take on the force should be thine.
- Did you see today’s Google Doodle yet? It is utterly delightful.
Today’s video contains a lesson for us all.
The first rule of Puppy Kiss Club? When you’re kissing, watch the ears. They’re ticklish. The second rule of Puppy Kiss Club? Don’t talk about Puppy Kiss Club (and definitely don’t let your human catch it on video.)
Finally, in case you missed it, here’s what we’ve been up to lately on the blog:
- Step 1: Get a bowl. Step 2: Put a puppy in that bowl.
- You know you’re a crazy dog lady when…
- Caption these dogs: Soak up the sun
- 6 Valentines from your friendly neighborhood canines
- Top 10 reasons to ask your dog to be your Valentine
- Whine & cheese: Five more Valentines from the canines
- 11 pleasing pet posts you’ll love (unless you’re Grumpy Cat)
Happy Valentine’s Day, friends!
Happy Valentine’s Day! I am not a huge fan of the holiday and don’t really celebrate it. I think I’ll end up giving my dog a bath. π

If Valentine’s Day was about puppy kisses, I’d be all for it! I just hate artificial romance and pressure to perform and expectation for wild spending. I don’t want someone to give me something or tell me they love me because of an obligation. But then, I don’t like weddings either so am probably a curmudgeon.
That being said, bring on the puppy love!

I can understand that. For me, I just try to find the fun in the cheesy stuff and not take the rest too seriously. π
Your Valentines posts were pawsome. Made us really laugh and smile.

Your lists SLAY me every time. When will this snow end? Once it does, we’re ON (like Donkey Kong) for coffee! (Well, I’m more a tea girl, myself, but hey, whatevs…) Happy Valentine’s Day to you and yours!

I’m more of a tea gal tooβ¦ so a tea date it is!
I love Valentine’s Day, too! To me, it’s about way more than romance. Ever since I was little, my parents got me and my siblings Valentines, and we got them for each other. It was just about love in general. I get why people protest it if they’re focused solely on the commercial aspects of the holiday, but I feel very lucky that I grew up with a big celebration of love every year! Puppy kisses are just an added bonus! π

Same here – it was always just kind of a fun and silly day in my house growing up, and I loved it.
How cute is that? Tavish lavishing Bella with kisses!! I’m not sure either of my guys would tolerate it. LOL
