Recognize that movie? I had the chance to go see the stage version last night with a good friend (hence the fact that Thursday’s post is going up on Friday). It definitely helped get me in the holiday mood – snow even fell on us at the end. (Not just confetti, but wet snow. It was a nice touch.)
Third row, baby!
I know we’ve talked about favorite Christmas movies before. However, that was two years ago, so it seemed like time to revisit the topic. My question to you – what’s your favorite? I’ll start off the discussion. My required Christmas viewing includes White Christmas (obviously), Elf, and many more…

If you are a long-time reader, you may know that I love caroldies. (For the uninitiated, that’s a parody of a Christmas carol.) So, I can’t let a season pass without sharing a few new ones with you. Today?
I Saw Three Cats
I saw three cats come walking in,
On Christmas day, on Christmas day.
I saw three cats come walking in,
On Christmas day in the morning.
And what was in their mouths, dear me,
On Christmas day, on Christmas day?
And what was in their mouths, dear me,
On Christmas day in the morning?
A portion of my Christmas tree,
On Christmas day, on Christmas day.
I feared the worst was soon to be,
On Christmas day in the morning.
The living room was a sight to see,
On Christmas day, on Christmas day.
They’d opened the presents and knocked down the tree,
On Christmas day in the morning.
Seriously though – it’s better to have your cat knock down the tree in the following video than a real one. Consider making it cat-proof.

Not sure what to get your furry (or feathered) friend this holiday season? Here are some great ideas.
I can’t get enough Grumpy Cat. The 12 Days of Christmas will never be the same.
Best version of ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas ever? You be the judge.
I just got my holiday cards – now I just need to find the time to address them. (I used to be a Kodak Gallery gal, but they don’t do the cards online anymore. I tried Snapfish this time around – what service do you use?) Speaking of great Christmas cards, have you seen the White House one this year? Adorbs.
Finally, it’s time for today’s video. I figure you can’t go wrong with Simon’s Cat:

So, tell me.. which adaptation is your favorite? As for me, there are two that top my list:
Mickey’s Christmas Carol– I’ve always been a big fan of this Disney version. Honestly, it’s probably my favorite – there’s something about this one that gets me every time. I especially enjoy Goofy’s appearance as Marley’s ghost.
The Muppet Christmas Carol – This one is an extremely close second. Statler and Waldorf as Marley? Genius. (Apparently, I really like that role.) Also, Gonzo makes an awesome Dickens. And it’s full of puns.
Now it’s your turn. Which version do you have to watch during the holiday season? Did your favorite TV show do an episode inspired by it? Tell me your favorites in the comments – perhaps I’ll have to add some new versions to my holiday viewing list!
