I’m thankful for furry faces
I’m thankful…
- …for having dogs in my life and for growing up in a family that taught me to love animals. For me, it’s just not a home without a furry friend.
- …that I’ve had ten years with my wonderful Bella. It’s been a fantastic decade.
- …that Tavish joined our family this year. He and Bella have been getting along famously. One of these days, I’ll convince them to snuggle with each other.
- …that I have found such a wonderful community of dog lovers. You guys rock.
What are you thankful for today?

A dog day afternoon
Today, I thought you might enjoy seeing the pups in action (before Sandy blanketed our yard in leaves, of course)…

Press release: Dog quits ZZ Top
I’m a little off my game this week. Instead of your usual Friday link roundup, today I’m sharing a few photos. (After all, I missed my usual Wordless Wednesday post.) Tomorrow, I’ll have a special Saturday edition of linky goodness for you. After that, perhaps I’ll be back on track. We’ll see…
Anyway, you may remember that Tavish was kind of a scraggly guy when he first came to live with us. When we had him groomed for the first time, he cleaned up quite nicely. However, he was having some tooth issues then and wouldn’t let the groomer do anything to his face, hence his ZZ Top facial hair.
Today, he took his second trip to the groomer, and the ZZ Top days are no more. Check him out:
Not too shabby, huh? (Although perhaps I should have waited and just let him go as ZZ Top for Halloween.)
After a trip to the groomer, he’s always kind of pooped. So, he and Bella decided to hop on the couch for a nap. (She’s all about the moral support, that one.)
That’s all for today… check back tomorrow for your weekly link roundup!
Soaking up the sun
In case you haven’t noticed, I’m currently obsessed with photos of the two pups hanging out together. I can’t get enough.

Back to back they faced each other…
Anyone else remember that poem? If you do, I assure you that only the line I borrowed for the post title applies here. (I will, however, admit that it was a fine day in the middle of the night when I took this photo.)
