She loves to hang out on the landing. We finally just gave in and put a mat there to make it more comfy.
Silas loves the stair landing, too. Not sure why.

I think Bella likes it because she can see out the front door and keep tabs on any upstairs activity too.
That’s our dog Roku’s favorite lookout spot as well – he has to have an eye on everything going on. We just moved to a new house with no stairs and he hasn’t figured out where the ideal “king surveying his kingdom” spot is yet.
That’s so funny – our last 2 dogs loved to sleep in our stairwell landing too. (Don’t know about Rita, cuz we no longer live in a house with stairs – hooray. God, how I hated vacuuming the stairs! And they always needed it, cuz the dog liked to lay there!) I guess it’s a cozy spot.

I know what you mean. Both the landing and the stairs are always covered in hair.

Tucker used to like to lay on the stair landing, too. He could keep an eye on everybody, plus the front door, from that spot 🙂

She sleeps there all the time. Tavish has even done it once or twice. I assume he just wants to be like his big sister.
If I am not in my window seat, I am often on the landing because I can see all over from that spot!

Our youngest dog hangs out on the landing sometimes to keep tab on the cats. They have long conversations and then he comes back downstairs.
