On Monday, I told you about the blog’s upcoming birthday, and how I’d almost forgotten about it. Today, I realized that not only did I almost forget the blog’s birthday… I also prematurely pushed it into middle age.
Remember how I said that the blog was turning five?
Um, yeah. This thing started on April 9, 2010. That was only four years ago. I always knew that math wasn’t my strong suit, but apparently basic counting is out of my depth as well.
It’s like that whole 500th post fiasco all over again.
That’s it. I’m not allowed to do math anymore without a chaperone. I can’t be trusted.
As a result, I’m also afraid to ever acknowledge a milestone on the blog again. It’s my own special brand of PTSD (Poorly Trumpeting Stuff Disorder).
I really can’t believe it happened again. Um… so how about we return to your regularly scheduled installment of Caption this Dog (see photo above) and pretend this whole thing never happened?

I used to be an auditor (in another life). If you’d sent me your figures, I could have audited them for you. 🙂

If we didn’t have a calculator on our computer we would be constantly embarrassed by our math ignorance. Your writing skills make up for your non math skills.

As I always tell everyone, “I hate math, and math hates me!” I’m a whiz when it comes to changing recipes, craft & sewing math, and figuring out how many dollars is riding along with me in that grocery cart; but leave me out of school homework after 6th grade! The alphabet does NOT belong in math problems! Math is for numbers, and the alphabet is for reading! Oh, I hate math!
Caption: I’m taking your phone away until you start finishing your homework.
We totally hate math around here, too! Congrats on all your blogging years!!!

I am not a fan of the maths. And the maths are not a fan of me. We have an understanding: I only do the maths when I have to. Otherwise, I find someone else to do them for me.
As for a caption?

“Ball.”
“Verb.”
“Throw.”
“Adjective.”
“Round.”

Ha ha I am so pleased it’s not only me that does these things. Just between us I struggle to figure out my birthday when counting up from the year I was born. I have to look at the other halves age and subtract the age difference, or at least I did not that there is no other half I’m not sure what I will do..maybe stay this age for ever??

That sounds like a good solution to me. 🙂

Thanks for always making me laugh! It’s kind of too funny that something like this had happened before too! I think you need to just ignore any numbers you see….I think they are just messing with you! 🙂
